Step 1: IDEAS for the Outside of Green Buildings

I have broken down "Step 1: BRAIN STORM IDEAS" into 5 easy steps which I will post over the next week.

A. IDEAS FOR THE OUTSIDE STRUCTURE (This post)
B. IDEAS FOR THE INSIDE (Next post)
C. IDEAS FOR POWER
D. IDEAS FOR PLUMBING
E. IDEAS FOR WATER

This post is Step 1A

Let's begin to think about and visualize what and how the outside and structural support will be made.  I put some pictures up of some stone homes on the previous posting.  I would like to use as much material from the land (8.9 acres in Little Falls, NY) as possible to minimize impact.  Thinking how to build a recycled home, or a home from sustainable materials I want to remember that nature, the land, should provide everything I need to build an Eco friendly corporate headquarters.  Below are a collection of pictures of "Treehouse" at the Alnwick Gardens in the United Kingdom..simply for inspiration.  Since I do not want to take up the blog with 1 Million pictures of Recycled Homes, Repurposed Furniture, etc, I will be posting the majority (pretty much ALL pictures) of "STEP 1" photos on the Hômeskape™ Facebook Page.  Check them out and feel free to post pictures yourself!  Let's get inspired...

"Treehouse" at the Alnwick Gardens in the United Kingdom

The tree stump coming from the middle of the room is structural support....

Nice Ariel shot of the tree house

Cool bridge...for The Homeskape Project, may not work too well, we get allot of snow most of the year...I want it to be USABLE and PRACTICAL GREEN WORK/LIVING!!!

I don't know if I trust the layout of the beams holding it up.....

Little castles high in the trees...I like it!  I want it!!

I like how they use thick branches from the trees for structure support, it looks cool, but it seems like it may be very time consuming to peel the bark and prep them...Hhhhhmmmmm...

Tomorrow I will begin to plot the inside by posting pics, links, articles, plans, etc on the Hômeskape™ Facebook Page.  Feel free to comment, ask questions, or just say hi!  One step closer to building an epic Eco Business Incubator!!!!
