Step 3: Gather Material for the Building of a Green Building

We begin today to gather material to build our Eco-friendly Sustainable Business Incubator (Headquarters).  As we are always thinking about Ideas, we try to merge those ideas with practical solutions to build GREEN.

I live in Bridgeport, Connecticut USA...about 3.5 hours away from where I purchased land.  This 3.5 hour trip is a pebble in the road, but must be realized as the truth.  It will not be Eco-friendly to gather material in Bridgeport and Truck it to Little Falls, NY.

As I stated in my previous postings, less impact is the goal. Most materials will hopefully be found on the premises, after all, it is almost 9 acres and should have enough raw material their to build a green headquarters for my company.  I will go to the property to survey, take inventory of raw materials, and meet with potential help/partners/farmers/thinkers in about 2 weeks.  Before I go up I want to have my ducks in order, it will probably be prudent to start the conversation with the zoning department before I take the trip.

For now, I am gathering little things so I don't waste time.  Since I am going to take the trip up there anyway, I won't go empty handed...

Some old milk crates for re purpose....any ideas??  Check out our post on lighting on Facebook

3 Sheets of Glass left over from a job on my moms house (Thanks Mom!).....I need allot more than this!
