We started strong, acquiring the property cheap and setting plans for building a headquarters out of recycled material....but nothing ever goes as planned....
Turns out, building a structure from recycled material doesn't pay much (I'm being sarcastic, it doesn't pay at all) and I had to take 2014 to make money to pay back student loans and try and get my life together.
The summer of 2014 came so fast I was not prepared, I traveled up to the parcel several times and even moved a camper in the drive way to set. I posted on our Facebook....for those that follow us there...
What I did do was meet my neighbor and a few other locals. That was in the fall and by 2015 January I managed to trade some used lumber for trees on my property, I went up in the middle of the winter ...Jan 8, 2015 to be exact...it was freezing....but I managed to trade trees (which are to be chopped down this summer) for an old barn that was dismantled.....

Moving it in the snow was a bit a of a challenge.....
It was negative 3 degrees out......
We actually drove the truck up the drive way....got stuck....and spent all night trying to get out....
But the materials had been delivered.....Finding them close to the land was important to cut down on cost and impact to the earth....
BUT WHAT WHERE YOU DOING IN 2014?????
I love to blog here on homeskape.com and other platforms like pushyourrank.com and microcapcompany.com (which I started while in grad school), but for most of 2014 I made my living writing business plans for clients worldwide or managing several ecommerce ventures (an amazon store, an ebay store, nickynice.com, tagsale.co, and more) I own through my company Homescape LLC.....AND probably spending to much time on my twitter...
